Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, mediumsized beige fluffy head. Aroma is bready malts, some nuts, mild toasted notes, some slight underlying saltwatery notes. Flavour is toffee, some dark fruits, bready malts, caramel malts, mild toasted notes as well as some slight grassyness in the finish. Wellbalanced bock, that hides the alcohol very well.

Little head, over cognac-coloured beer. Oxydized malts, cookies, old-smelling. Sweet, more oxydized malts, alcoholsweetness, sultanas. Flat MF, slick, alcoholwarming. Prematurely aged; Koelschtrinker confirming sample did not meet usual standards. To be retried.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is okay. Woody-sweet aroma. Nice. Tastes woody, too, but not really sweet. Strong, but not alcoholic. Finish woody-grasy, a bit moldy and unbalanced. Had better bocks.
