Adambier is an old German style of strong ale, rooted in the tradition of the city of Dortmund. It is a rich, dark and satisfying ale, brewed with a wide range of different malts - both caramelized, roasted and peat-smoked - to create a complex ale with notes of dark fruits, leather, honey and chocolate.

Can @ Dinøl, Odense. Pours nearly Black slash Dark Brown with a small White head. Overripe Dark fruit, banana, chewy caramel, vanilla and chocolate. Super smooth and dry with a gentle elegant warmth from alcohol. Suiting low carbonation. Sticky lips. Sipper. Something that takes me on a trip to a place between Rochefort and a British Barley Wine. Delicious. --- Beer merged from original tick of #100 on 29 Jan 2022 at 20:15 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. Can, 10.5%. Very malty aroma, dark malt syrup. Dark brown colour, seems clear. Small tan head. The flavour is very malty with a deep, dark caramelly note. Late and long toffee aftertaste.

Can. Pours hazy dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, and fruit, with notes of yeast and hoppy touches. Sweet, malty flavour with notes of caramel and yeast and touches of roast and hops. Sweetish aftertaste, with roasty and caramellish notes. Warming alcohol presence. Tasty and satiating. Decent work.

On tap at Skaal, pours black with an amber tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out dark dried fruits, a touch of leather and medium toasted malt. Flavour is loaded with dark dried fruits, a touch of roast, and a hint of leather. Rich, fruity and sturdily malted. Not really reminiscent at all of Hair of the Dog Adam — this is much sweeter and less tobacco-y / leathery — but this is excellent nonetheless.
