Tap @ Die Kleine Bierstube, Aarhus. Clear dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and a little roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 060517

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, nussig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, nussig, leicht würzig.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear brown, mid-sized, fluffy beige head. Malty with roasted malts, hints of caramel and a pleasant dryness.

(Keg at Wurstküchel, Regensburg, 20130515) The beer poured very dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had roastedness and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, grass, roasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A good dunkel.

Dark brown with a medium, off white foam. Malty with roasted tones. malt, caramel and roasted.

Bottle @ Clockwork Brewpub. Ruby red brownish colour, off-white head. Nose is caramel malts, light toastiness, bit of fruits. Flavour is roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits. Slightly sweet finish.

Wenig herber Antrunk, in dem weiche Malznoten im Vordergrund stehen. Im Mittelteil etwas würziger, das Bier ist zudem etwas süßer. Die Süße wirkt dabei künstlich, ohne dass dies stören würde. Im Hintergrund ist im Abgang eine trockene und fehlerhafte adstringente Note vorhanden. Insgesamt ein süffiges Dunkles mit nicht sonderlich gelungenem Abgang. 7/8/7/4/9/6

Bottled@GBBF2009. Deep ambery brown colour with mediumsized fluffy/foamy off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some slight roasted notes as well as toffee and some slight burnt sugary notes as well. Flavour is burnt sugar, some caramel malts, mild burnt sugary notes as well as slightly roasted notes. Some bitterness in the finish as well as rather sweet malts.

Brown with a small white head. Fruity aroma with toffee. Sweet malty flavour with plum notes and a slightly sour edge

Bottle at GBBF 2009. Dark brown, lasting beige head. Easy drinking, nothing off putting. Some choc, I liked it, easy drinking dunkel, where I nearly drank all of it before sharing it round. Not always making notes on it, but just a nice drink to have whilst chatting.
