Dåse fra Getrankefeinkost, Magdeburg. Dufter meget af pebermynte. Smager af ristet malt og stadig en del pebermynte.

Pint can from State Line, 8/20/22. One of the thing I miss about the East Coast beer scene is getting all the Smuttlabs releases. I head pretty much all of them at one point. This one near black, appears clear. Large frothy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, chocolate, mild mint. Taste is roast, chocolate, vanilla, mint. Slick, tad bit thin. The mint is present but mild, which is an excellent thing. Very well balanced. Overall a very nice beer.

4 ounce draft. This was tap a few weeks before Christmas and it’s still on draft! Is Smuttlabs Kitchen making any money on beer?!?! The flavor and aroma is literally like a small smashed candy cane lingering throughout. Well, thankfully it doesn’t overwhelm. Chocolate and ash hints. Decent.

Can pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! It's a hazy, dark brown with garnet, tons of sparkle, finger-plus width tan foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is mix of strong peppermint and roasted malts, perhaps with a bit of chocolate. Taste mirrors aroma. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, peppermint is here, strongly, but the chocolate is weak and, without it, it's not very interesting.

Can from Hannaford Clear dark brown in color with faint garnet edges and a thin off white head that slowly dissipates. Earthy roasted coffee with faint chocolate and a solid hit of peppermint. Not a candy cane vibe more of a lightly bitter botanical feel. Not bad.
