Exactly what you want an American porter to be. Bittersweet, with notes of cocoa, coffee, dark fruit, and roast, with a lingering java bitterness on the back end and a creamy, semisweet fade. Absolute gem of a beer.

Dark brown with a beige head. Chocolate and roasted grain aroma. Ash. Roasted bitter taste. A hint of milk chocolate. Medium bodied, mild to moderate carbonation. Very traditional and well done.

Bottle, at share, thanks to Ryan. Pours rubescent dark brown. Dark chocolate, roast, prune, light liquorice, raspberry, dark malt biscuit stuff. Medium body. Excellent.

Bottle shared by Wendigo. Fully malty. Med-full body, med-high carbonation. Lots of chocolate, toffee, moderate honey, light coffee. Med-high sweetness, med-low bitterness, mostly roasty, hops in background. Overall quite easy drinking though, despite being on the sweet side. Good one.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, roastyness, coffee notes, medium bitter, light sweet, light sourish notes. Medium body, malty roasty and coffee bitter finish. Good.

Bottle. A- Toffee, tobacco, cocoa, roasty. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Roasty, char, cocoa, mild bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- One year past the drink by date. Seems to be what I am good at these days...drinking old beer. Still seemed to hold up.

Bottle. Peach and a bit of roast and laurel in the aroma. Thin. Malty, roastflavor with laurel, coughing syrup and apple. Pleasant and easy to drink.
