Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Shared 550ml bottle. Pours a burgundy color with a foamy beige head. Aroma of malt and artificial cherry. Taste is stale malt, cherry cough syrup. Finish is sweet, mildly tart, and very artificial and medicinal. Did not finish.

Bottle at Melbourn Bros, Stamford. Deep red with a pink-tan head. Sweet-sour aroma with the unmistakable whiff of cherry. Heady sweet taste with slightly sour finish. A proper cherry beer, simple and lovely. And on site, albeit in bottle. What more do you want?

*Old rating. Fruity and a bit artificial cherries in the nose. The beer starts fruity with nice not too sweet cherries. Fresh, malty and nice fresh cherries. A bit sweetish, round (and probably artificial, as intense and slightly sweetish) in the aftertaste. Nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Organic Handcrafted Fruit Ale on 11 Jan 2016 at 13:08 - Score: 6

Keine süße Pampe, sehr ausgewogen, sehr lecker.

Bottle @ Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Aug 15, many thanks to Mike! Was dreading this, but actually, surprisingly, this was one of the beers of the night for me. Big cherry aroma, luscious cherry taste, not overly sweet and hiding the alcohol well.

19th Aug 2015: shared bottle at the Aug Shrewsbury bottle exchange meeting, cheers Mike. Glad I’ve drank it, glad I did not buy it. Uber Cherry aroma and flavour, red beer with a Bakewell Tart nose and taste. not my thing at all. Scored objectively.
