Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Poured from 550mL bottle. Deep ruby red with pink-ish white head. Cherry and nuts. That’s about it.

19th Aug 2015: shared bottle at the Aug Shrewsbury bottle exchange meeting, cheers Mike. Glad I’ve drank it, glad I did not buy it. Uber Cherry aroma and flavour, red beer with a Bakewell Tart nose and taste. not my thing at all. Scored objectively.

Pour is a dark red with a large pink head looks like grenadine. Aroma is of course cherry. Flavor is again cherry and sweetness. All of these Sam Smith fruit beers have a decent flavor and again these taste so fresh it’s hard for me to believe there is no artificial flavoring in them. Still for a $1.99 clearance they are worth a pick up.

330 ml bottle shared by Gurthnar, thanks!
Deep red body, with a small, creamy, white head.
Very sweet aroma of cherry, lemonade and not much else.
Taste is quite light and sticky, with sweet cherries.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes light, sweet, with cherries.
All I get from this is sweet cherry lemonade with 5.1% ABV. Not my cup of tea at all.

Bottle. Strong manually operated cherry aroma, handcrafted notes. Organically grown colour, double fermented head. Distinctive organic taste, notes of extended maturation. Now come on, really. Overpowering cherry flavouring in both aroma and taste. Slight spurish tartness in taste. Deep red colour. Eh.

OK, like this a bit better than the strawberry.

Bottle split at the Anchor Tap, 03/01/15. Reddish amber with a decent light crimson head that retains well. Nose is glaced cherries, sugars, grassy notes, fruit syrup. Taste comprises sweet cherry syrup, red berry linger, straw, sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Little to sweet, preffered its raspberry cousin in this oh so exciting of parallel tastings!
