Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Bottle from the Melborn Bros Brewery in Sptamford. Ruby colour with an almost punk head. Aroma pack the cherry fruit. The taste has cherry, is a touch sour, this makes it a very refreshing drink.

550 ml bottle into imperial pint glass, bottled on 9/20/2013. Pours slightly hazy dark ruby red color with a 1-2 finger dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of sweet and tart cherry, cherry skin, apple, light caramel, toast, bread, light herbal, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance of authentic cherry notes and moderate bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big sweet and tart cherry, cherry skin, apple, light caramel, toast, bread, light herbal, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy herbal bitterness and a fair amount of tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of sweet/tart cherry, cherry skin, apple, light caramel, toast, bread, light herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic robustness and balance of big authentic fruit flavor with moderate bready malt sweetness; with a good sweetness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/syrupy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruit beer. All around great robustness and balance of authentic cherry flavor and moderate bready malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a super nice two and a half fingered white to a tint of reddishness in the head. The head must have lasted for at least a good three minutes before it even decided to dissipate. Once it did, there was a super thick amount of lacing gracing the sides of the glass very nicely.
The smell was tart cherries.
The taste was tart, sweet and has a touch of sourness but in a good way to complement the flavoring. With a slight refreshing yet crisp cherry aftertaste, the finish ends up being quick and refreshing.
On the palate, this one sits about a medium on the body with a superb sessionability about this one. Wow, I feel like I could pound this all day!
Overall, I didn’t expect this one to be so sessionable. This is an exceptionally well done beer and should be the benchmark for Cherry beers.

Dunkelrötliches Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig, süß nach Kirschen, leicht malzig, so ist auch der Geschmack.

You know what you’re going to get with this. Fruit. Black Cherry all over the place. Black cherry yoghurt, but not the premium ones, the supermarket own brand. Done for the rate, sorry.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins and shared with LeninCat. Pours an orangish maroon appearance with an off white head and not much retention. Medicinal cherry, slight cough syrup, herbal, slightly tart, Starburst candy aroma. Pretty decent body but unfortunately, the flavor is pretty medicinal. Cherry, sour raspberry, twangy red apple flavor. Not very enjoyable.
