(Draught at Monk’s Cafe Sveavägen, Stockholm) The beer poured pale yellow and cloudy. Head was white and dense. Aroma resembled more of a Belgian blonde than any pils. There was very fruity Belgian style yeast aroma with very mild grassy notes. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. The Blonde characteristics continued in the taste. There was fruity Belgian style yeast, mildly grass, mustiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. There was nothing wrong with this beer but it’s wrong to categorise this one as zwickel etc.

(Draught at Monk’s Café Sveavägen, Stockholm, 5 Nov 2010) Cloudy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with apricots, citrus, grainy malt, grass, toffee and hints of green peas. Fruity, malty taste with notes of apricots, grainy malt, toffee and grassy hops. Medium body, fairly sweet and fruity. More like a kellerbier than a pilsener, but quite nice and tasty.

Bottle: Golden, a bit hazy, big persistent fluffy loose white head; distinctive yeasty-fruity nose with grains and hops underneath, a tinge of alcohol is detectable too; almost solid sweet-bitter flavour, nearly full bodied; a tinge of (yeasty) turpentine in the solid bitter-sweet finish, followedy by a slight touch of brandy. Robust brew, but not really a good session beer.....

From a key keg via a handpull at Kent BF 2010. Some earthy hop. Some lemon. Quite an earthy lager and I could drink quite a lot of this. OK.

clear yellow, creamy but also slightly fluffy white head. dry crisp hoppy aroma, faint flowery hoppy, faint cardboard , faint sawdust, very tasty aroma. flavor is dry, sweet notes, faint flower notes probably from hops, ends dry. overall however it does seem i tiny bit sweeter than your average pilsener. A little more of everything. Good beer!

(bottle, 33cl, as De Molen Pilz, 5.0% abv) Hazy, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet malty aroma with a light grainy touch and flowery and fruity (apricot, citrus) hoppy notes. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Slim malty base with a yeasty touch and distinctive fruity accents of tangerine and citrus; dry-ish flowery hoppy and slightly fruity finish with a late arriving bitterness. Pleasant. 10.IV.10
