A traditional English Porter, auburn red in colour and finished with honey for a truly unique aroma and taste. Honey aromas on the nose, and flavours of honey, chocolate and with hints of vanilla making this a unique and pleasing ale.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark brown, thick beige head. Aromas of honey, vanilla, floral. Taste is quite odd, strong vanilla oakiness, sweet honey and cream, and big floral hit too. Bit much for me. No roastiness, and a bit thin.

0,5L bottle, BB 18.11.2014. Pours dark ruby-brown with tan head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet and perfumy, flowers, honey. Flavor is sweet and bitter, flowers, honey, roasted malt, caramel. Finish is lingering nutty bitter. Overall: I can honestly say I haven’t had beer like this before, so additional overall point for doing something different (in a good way).

Bought at Kaufland, Umag, Croatia. Looked like Coca-Cola while pouring, reddish tint, small but lasting brownish head. Very strong dominating spicy honey aroma, like a salutary honey candy, which can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. Although taste leaves some light stout-like bitterness, strong honey aftertaste prevails in the finish. To much honey, which can be good for enthusiasts. Interesting dessert beer for a glass or two, not much more.

Bottle from local imported beer shop (alcohol content is 4.5% not 5.1%). Pours a dark brown with a very small beige head. Strong sweet aroma of honey and some hints of chocolate. Tastes of honey flavoured cough medicine. Doesn’t remind me of a porter really. For some reason I expected more from this. It turns out that "mellifluous" is an adjective only used to describe sound.

Bottle. Aroma strong strong honey, but exactly the variety I hate. Dark forest, but somehow ruined, basement. Very dark colour. Taste shows the same honey character with added nougat. The body suffers, it is too thin. Somewhat interesting, but not too good IMO. I can imagine that someone will like it, but definitely not me.

0.5l bottle. Reddish brown body, very thin light brown head. Huge honey notes both in the aroma and taste. Other than that it has licorice and cocoa. A bit weak bodied beer. Interesting, that’s for sure. I like it.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with light head. Aroma and flavors of honey and talcum powder. Yuck. Mellifluous? Guess a big word is required to cover this crap.

Kraftig duft av honning og kaffe. Dyp mørk farge, tilnærmet sort. Lite skum, litt langs kant. Smak av honning og kaffe.
