Bottle. Amber color, hazy. Just a hint of earthy hops, toffee and a hint of raspberry in the aroma. Mellow toffee flavor with melon and a hint of licorice. Decent brew.

From old tasting notes. Bright Amber orange color. Bubbly beige head. Earthy toasted malt nose. Soft spicy toasted malt flavor. Complex hoppy finish is spicy and bitter. Nice clinging lace.

Pretty good beer, but really, it’s somewhere between an Amber and a Scottish. Dark amber colored liquid with a good head. Malty with some spice. The flavor and aroma are rather malt-forwardly sweet. There just isn’t quite enough flavor from caramelization for a good Scottish ale, so the beer turns out just a tad drab for my tastes. The feel is fairly thick for a beer of this strength. I prefer clean, hoppy Ambers for general drinking, so I can’t say that I’d buy more. However, this is still a pretty good beer and I wouldn’t turn down a free one.

Bottle. Copper color with a medium white head. Aroma is decent, but nothing special. Flavor was sweet, with a touch of caramel and citrus. Slight floral tones to it. A solid refreshing brew.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy redish amber with a nice dense off-white head. Malty vanilla and caramel aroma. Flavor is woody earthy and lightly toasted malts. Very little hop bitterness and a slight tanned leather note. Quite lievely carbonation, and a moderate light palatte. No real bitterness on the trailer. Not bad for a style that I am not usually too excited about.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm 3 July) Copper colour with brief white head. Malty, nutty nose with notes of toffee and caramel. Malty, nutty taste with caramel, burnt almonds and a nice puff of hops in the medium long finish. Not exceptional, but tasty and very well balanced.

Medium copper color...a fluffy foam on the pour, that doesn’t stay forever, but pleasing never the less...smells pungently sweet....mild hops and a creamy light body

Bottle: Pours a dark golden color with a frothy head, decent lacing. Basic malt flavor is enhanced with some added notes from roastiness, nuts, caramels, and toffee. Refreshing and easy to drink...

(355 ml bottle at The Rover, Göteborg) Clear copper color, huge tan head. Fresh but soft sweet malty scent, with some hops. Rather thin body. Nice subtle bitterness. Fruity sweet malty taste. A little bit iron and sweet chewming gum.
