0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who brought it from the Czech Republic (thanks!) Poured a deep golden body witha a lasting white head. Herbal fresh hoppy nose,. Dry ashy, woody hopiness dominates, some fruity and herbal notes, with some odd eggy notes (which don’t detract much from the overall impression). Ok even, a bit too crudely hoppy at first but when it all settles down a decent beer.

bottle from Pivni Galerie. Golden yellow, large head, lovely hoppy aroma. Rather full-bodied, bitter-sweet. Solid malty base with pleasant hoppy flavours. Moreish and very pleasant brew.

Bottle: Golden coloured, smaller, slowly diminishing loose head, visible carbonation, sweet-malty, cardboardy, slightly sourish nose like a mediocre german Pils; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light malty base detectable; cardboardy, a bit soapy finish with grassy hops in the aftertaste. A Bohemian Pilsener ? Ridiculous ! Tastes like a cheap east-german Pils......

Slightly hazy blonde coloured body with copper tints. A nice white head tops the beer. Aroma of an eastern european lager - skunky malt with some light, very low a.a. hops. Medium-bodied; Funky metallic taste. Bitter finish with some sweet tastes throughout. Aftertaste clean, but unimpressive. Overall, not horrible, but not showing enough character. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia on 01-April-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
