Can, 8%. Good jammy hop aroma, fruity, grassy and citric. Black colour. Good stable dark brown head. The flavour is fruity and roasted. Citric with a good coffee finish. A herbal kind of coffee note. Oily mouthfeel. There must be some sugar in it, but it does not taste sweet, probably because it is balanced by roasted notes.

Can. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable dark tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, and fruit, with touches of coffee and yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee, malt and yeast, and touches of caramel and dried fruit. Lingering, bitter, roasty aftertaste with estery and malty touches. Warming alcohol presence. Good stuff.

440ml can Chez Sophie. Pours black with a beige head that recedes to nothing. Aroma of rich liquorice, soy, omami. Taste continues along a similar vein, rich liquoricey elements, dark malt, coffee with pine hop coming through. Would've preferred more roast and layered dark malts, but overall it's ok.
