Can from Øl2go @ Idealazise. Pours black with brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, licorice. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, roast malt, chocolate, licorice, light akcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet light bitter finish. 160725

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, mild hoppy notes, touch of coffee, caramel, bit burnt, light soy sauce. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitterness. Above medium body. Good Baltic Porter with some above-average (but not excessive) hoppiness.

440ml can. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small to average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, notes of toffee, chocolate, caramel, some cocoa, dark caramel, mocha, sugared espresso. Taste is bitter roasty and chocolately, dark malty, sweet-ish, caramel malty, slightly bitter hoppy, notes of chocolate, dark chocolate, toffee, coffee, a weak, (yeasty) fruity (hoppy) touch of plum. Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally clyoing, simultaneously minimally dry palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Intense, balanced, clean and focussed malt flavours - good.

Panda thanks to Cloin: Poured a pitch black with a tan colored head. Aroma is rich roasted malts, coffee, shaved chocolate hints. Taste is bitter hops and coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, lingers around the palate boldly.

22nd April 2024 Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Tangy and slightly thin dark chocolate and coffee. Ripe fruity aspect A light thinnish tangy dark malt vibe here. Decent but a little thin and tangy for me.

Can at home, from an online peddler, 05/04/24. Black with a khaki cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is dark malts, liquorice, dusty hops, treacle toffee, molasses. Taste comprises dark malts, cocoa powder, toffee, earthy roast, charr, ashen nip, dates, stewed fruits. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Tidy porter with a noted earthy hop presence.

Bijna zwart bier met bruin schuim wat snel wegzakt. Smaak is bitterzoet en kruidig met iets van chocolade, koffie, wat gedroogd fruit en een heel klein beetje rook.
