A smooth, refined version of a classic ale. Samuel Adams® Boston Ale was first brewed to celebrate the opening of our Boston Brewery. Like Samuel Adams Boston Lager®, it was an old family recipe that was rescued by Jim Koch from his father's attic. Samuel Adams® Boston Ale, a Stock Ale, has a complex, caramel malt character balanced with distinct spicy and herbal hop notes. Our proprietary ale yeast imparts a variety of fruit and ester notes in both the nose and flavor which are indicative of the style.

Aroma of bready malt, caramel, butterscotch, perfumed notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitter finish. A bit too dull and malty to impress.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful deep amber, unfiltered with a thick creamy head. Full - almost "fat" in body and then this most wonderful fruity aroma from the excellent hops. Very delicious beer - almost fluid gold... 4.0

Pours to a nice clear red tinted amber with a stable 1 cm head. Bready nose, caramel, slightly funky, pine. Piney spice in the mouth, orange, citrus. Good bitterness, long lasting but not astringent. Well balanced.

Bought at Berts Bierhuis Utrecht. Light amber color. Blackcurrant aroma. Caramelly, slightly nutty bitter flavor with a hint of blackcurrant. Just below medium bodied. Tasty ale, maybe a bit sticky.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Toasted malt aroma. Light caramel and toasted malt flavor with light citrus. Medium bodied. Light caramel and light toasted malt linger with light citrus.
