Bottle from MiP, thanks! Dark brown color. Strong honey aroma. Sweet, flowery honey flavor with hints of leak. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Sticky mothfeel. Just not my taste, I guess.

Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Amber colour with thin beige head. Honey aroma. Just actually a rather nice beer. Good honey. Like a crunchie with honeycomb. It’s got better as it went on.

Orange-chestnut coloured beer under a cream-coloured, small, but persistent head. Extremely powerful nose of dark liquid honey, to the exclusion of anything else. Leafy flavour, autumn leaves, nuts and honey in the finish only. Not too sweet, in spite of the nose. Hint of alcohol, and herbs. Very slick, pappy MF, impression of alcoholwarming, despite the low ABV, but medium bodied at best. It certainly deserves its name. Many thanks to Dirk and Leen

Bottle, 70cl. The beer pours a clear, copper body, and is topped by a small off-white head. Sweetish nose, mostly flower-honey, but also some hops hiding in the background and some caramel. Rather sticky on the tongue, lots of honey-sweetness, as well as caramel and some fruity hops giving bitterness. Nice co2 level. Pleasant bitterness in the finish, and also caramelly malt and honey. I’m usually not very fond of honey in my beers, but this one balances the honey with the other ingredients in a nice way. Still, it’s not a big beer, and it would probably be a boring one without the honey. (080429)

(Bottle, thanks to larsniclas and rlgk!) Clear dark brown color, white head. Extreme sweet honey scent, like boiled reduced honey. Sweet honey taste and aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness. Quite nice, but not much beer, more of a mead.

Golden amber with a good white head. Malty honey aroma and taste. Little fruityness. Practically honey all over with a little light hints of hops in the end. OK

Bottle. Nice head with ok duration. Color is amber. Aroma is very sugary honey sweet. Taste is likewise. It actually tastes like youhave put a scoop of honey straight in the beer.

66 cL bottle. Clear deep orange colour with light brown head. Aroma and taste is dominated heavily by honey. Rather sweet and malty taste - almost no bitterness.7-4-5-2-11=2.9

Head to head between the original and the 2007 version at Jacobsen from the Carlsberg cellar. The original is clearly more red in colour whereas the new is more orange and lighter. Head is slight orange on the old and more whitish in the new. Swirling the beer in the glass shows a nicer lacework for the old than the new. Aroma for the old is more smooth and not so dominant on the honey. The new has a clear fresh honey aroma. Flavour for the old is smooth and the honey is nicely integrated into the soft malt and slight yeasty flavour. The new is more dominant on the honey flavour. Finish is slight woody and very smooth in the old version and a lot more herbal and strong on the honey in the new. The best honey brew I know of. Old version: 7-4-8-4-15=3.8
