Draught at GBBF 2006. Gold with thin white head. Slightly smokey aroma, bit of pukey malt. Fine in mouth, if a bit too carbonated. Alcohol is present. Bit too strong and crude to be pleasant.

Bottle:Golden coloured, slightly hazy, thin fluffy layer; sweet malt in the nose, herbal - almost "wooden" - hops and alcohol too;sweetish (alcoholic) flavour, medium to full bodied, low carbonation; alcohol, sweet malt, honey and a touch of wood again in the finish with a distinctive, almost tart, lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, not cloying, quite well balanced....................

Bottled. Clear golden, creamy head. Aroma of sugar and buttery malt. Very sweet and very soft with near full body. There’s some grassy hops and some alcohol, medium bitterness. Too sweet to be balanced.
