Bottled. Copper-colored with a small, dense beige head. Mostly sweet, malty aroma, with some fruity hints. Malty-sweet flavor with some roastiness. Hints of coffee and cocoa. Sweet, medium to full body, Some bitterness at the end. (060122)

500 ml bottle, unpasteurised, bought in Hvide Sande, Denmark. Beautiful clear reddish amber colour, moderate lingering head. Malty aroma with some caramel and honey. I like my bocks darker than this, still this one has a pretty full body, some malty caramel sweetness with a moderately bitter finish. Alcohol is unfortunately too dominant. Does not live up to its high price.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very pretty bronze colour, clear and filtered with a rather small head. Very full-bodied, very malty with lots of malt sugars and a subdued bitterness. A solid and potent brew if not exactly sophisticated. Closer to a Doppelbock actually. 090105

Chestnut brown, low creamy off-white head. Fruity and minerally aroma. Fat dry mouthfeel, sweet, caramelly base, a bit fruit (strawberries), candy, spice, a hint of chocolate and strawberriesin the aftertaste. A rather one-dimensional experience.

Draught. Light reddish colour. Small creamy white head. Peppery, caramelly flavour. A bit alcoholic and thick. Rather drinkable in spite of the alcohol.

Bottled. Dark amber. Sweet and toffeeish. Fairly malty with soft, but mellow and syrupy mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Lacks hops and malt firmness.

Amber color. Some malt and caramel features, some maltyness and alcohol warmth; I would say quite far from a Doppelbock.

An amber beer with a nice though collapsing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is also sweet with notes of caramel, but also some notes of cowberries, as well as some alcohol running over the tongue. The mouthfeel is quite dry.
