Old Gambrinus light er på trods af navnet en meget fyldig og kraftig guldøl. Til brygningen bruges dobbelt så meget pilsnermalt som til Høker.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Malty and grainy flavour, with touches of roast and, above all, alcohol. Sweet, malty flavour, with nut ty and grainy touches. Rough finish. Potent but OK. More like a Doppelbock than an SPL. Fortunately.

Flaske delt med skibsreder Ovesen: klar, gylden, med kort skum. Fruktig aroma, og en deilig trippel-aktig smak som en en belgier. En god, altwrnativ juleøl.

Clear and golden. Short-lasting head. Light and fruity pilsner aroma. Belgian triple and strong pilsner-like in taste.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, fat, läder, russin, ljus sirap och farinsocker. Oljig, rund och len. Dock slår alkoholen igenom en aning mycket, blir ojämn och spritig.

Bottle, by the courtesy of Skinnyviking. Nice bottle design with a golden neck. Noisy, clear golden pour. Dissipating white head. Malty nose, very sweet. Sweet caramel taste alongside some dried fruits, metallic alcohol. Lively carbonated. Possible to drink, but far from great. (hotel room, Copenhagen 26.05.2013).

Bottle @ Home. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, green apples, alchohol. Taste is malt, sweet caramel, sugar, apples, light grasy hops, booze. Medium body, soft carbonation, rather alchoholic finish. 070910

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grain and apple peel with a bit of alcohol. Sweet and full bodied flavour wwith grain and malt and vineous warm alcohol. Spicy bitter finish. Well crafted for an almost impossible beer type to perfect

Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and light bitter. The finish is very alcoholic. It’s amazing how much alcohol Hancock beers contain when you consider how little aroma and flavor you get. 251210
