A 0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep golden one with a small really big bubbly off-white top. Dammit this smell of wet dog. Wet schaefer. Oh my this is not god at all. Fruit beer? Well, perhaps the dog ate a fruit before they put him in the mash. Thank god it tastes a little better. It's really soft on the carbonation and light oily on the mouthfeel. Have to admit that I was serious reluctant to tasting this after that aroma, but it's actually not all that bad in the taste. Would never have guessed that it was grapefruit here, more needles nope and ripe melon. Well hopped with bittering hops and a light malty sweetness. Actually not that bad at all, but the aroma? Can't stop thinking about that poor dog.. Well, it's perhaps not the worst way to go? 16.05.2013

A slightly cloudy, dark yellow beer with a quite weak and white head. Aroma is quite mild, but fresh, fruits, malts and red grapefruits. Taste is quite dry and biscuity, some fruits and artificial like grapefruits. In the aftertaste there are some bitterness and citrusfruity sourness. Light+ bodied, slightly harsh carbonation. The grapefruits are tastefull, but they are not fit in the entirety with balance.

Aromat silnie grejfrutowy. W smaku bardzo gożkie, a przynajmniej jak bitter. A spodziewałem się słodkawego piwa owocowego, tym bardziej byłem mile zaskoczony. Jedno z nielicznych piw owocowych które są gożkie z którym się zetknąłem. Wygląd po przelaniu jest niezbyt atrakcyjny, piana tylko na centymetr i jest gruboziarnista, w ciągu mniej niż minuta znika.

Bottle at Baran, Bergen. The colour is hazy light amber, and has a small off-white head. Fruity, powerful and sweet aroma of apricot and dried peaches. Flavours of orange and the peel, spices of cloves (christmas?) and some leather. Has a soft and rich mouthfeel, and a light orange bitterness. Lots of fruits in an interesting beer.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff: aroma og smak dominert av grapefrukt - ikke rart ettersom det står "contains grapefruit flavouring" på etiketten. Lurer litt på hva det er. Men allikevel en god og forfriskende hveteøl (hvis man som jeg gjerne har en halv grapefrukt til søndagsfrokosten).

Bottle @ DØE / Øllets dag, Viby. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of light malt, but mostly dominated by grapefruit. Flavor is malt, grapefruit. Thin body, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish. 010912
