A dark and rich porter inspired by the Baltic porters traditionally made in Scandinavia. Roasted without being burned or bitter, with the flavor dominated by dried fruits and vinous notes. High amounts of residual sugars and a fruity aroma makes this beer the perfect companion for chocolate desserts, if served lightly chilled.
Brewed on Maris Otter ale malt, British Brown Malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, two types of caramel malt and brown sugar.

Draught @ 3 Små Rum on November 19. 2008 vintage. Pours deep black with a creamy mocha head. smell is sweet with roasted malts, cereal, bitter chocolate and some sweet liquorice candy. Taste is sweet and bitter with coffee, bitter chocolate, vanilla and some metal that disappears as the beer gets warmer. 33 cl can. Vintage 2009 drank in 2011. Dark brown/black liquid with small brown head. Malty smell with notes of dark chocolate, licorice, rye bread, pumpernickel and maybe some cherry. Taste is also quite malty with lots of licorice, light to medium bitterness and sweetness. Medium to full bodied with ok carbonation. Nice!

Sample from bottle at CBF 2011. Black colour with a creamy tan head. . Aromas of chocolate, coffee, and notes of alcohol. Moderately sweet with roasted malt flavors, coffee, and milk chocolate. the alcohol is pleasant and warming. Only mild bitterness, moderate carbonation. Consistent and perfectly balanced beer. Silky, full mouthfeel, WOW - the best porter I ever had, and the best beer sampled at CBF 2011. Hope that the shitty Harboe Brewery don´t mess this one up.

Pours a solid black with a decent tan head that sticks around for a while before impaling itself upon the inside walls of my Sam Adams glass. Smells of milk chocolate, brown sugar, roasted grains, a bit of smoked malt as well. Taste is milk chocolate then roasted grains and a huge smoke character followed by some hop and roast bitterness that linger in the finish. Thick motor oil like body, light but ample and appropriate carbonation, creamy and syrupy mouthfeel. Decent porter, but the smokiness of this one was to much for me.

Opaque black porter, very thin tan head. Smooth and almost creamy. Mild roastiness but this is a very very smooth porter. Not bitter or too dry. Just a hint of fruit and hops. Very drinkable.3.4

Thanks to Scopey for another bite of this apple! 2005 bottle. Mild minerals. Unsweet dark chocolate and a touch of coffee, Little malt cream and a mild tang. Smooth finish with a forensic trace of something that may have been hops once!

16.9oz bottle Tampa Weekly Gathering @kiefdogs– pours a thin rich brown head and black color. Aroma is smoke/ashy-dark malt then chocolate. Taste is chocolate/roasty/dark malt/oat, some earthy. Smooth. Minimum carbonation.
