Bottle, 2006. Orange color, hazy. Malt, orange and a hint of butter in the aroma. Malty, rather alcoholic flavor with orange and again a hint of butter. Full bodied. Pleasant, but not world shocking.

Ambar, bonito color. Escasa espuma y flojo aroma. En boca empieza lo bueno. Muy agradable textura cremosa y cuerpo moderado, y un sabor predominante dulce, caramelo y malta tostada, con un tono alcohólico que calienta el conjunto y oxida ligeramente. Apreciable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, süß, würzig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, Karamell, Schokolade, leicht alkoholisch.

Ich hab’ die "Edition 2007". 24.7.2008 Steht auf dem Etikett - also müsste es jetzt optimal abgelagert sein. Sehr edles blau-goldenes Etikett. Das Bier ist Orange-Kastanienfarben und riecht interessant würzig-süßlich. Der Antrunk ist vollmundig-süßlich. Fast ein Bißchen wässrig. Im Hauptteil entfaltet sich aber schnell ein volles, interessantes Aroma: Fruchtige Süße - ich schmecke ganz entfernt Äpfel, Orangen - zusammen mit Karamell. Eine interessante Geschmackskombination. Sehr komplexer Körper. Der Nachgeschmack ist süßlich-fruchtig-frisch mit alkoholischer Schwere. Auf der Zunge bleibt diese fruchtige Süße ziemlich lang erhalten. Auch hat das Bier jetzt was erdiges, sumpfiges…
--> Ein richtig schön komplexer Doppelbock. Nicht für jeden Tag, aber zum ab und zu mal Genießen wirklich nicht schlecht.

Clear brown beer with no foam. Light malty caramel aroma. Flavour has some cardboard, bread and a prominent alcohol note.

Bottle, edition 2011. Pours a translucent brown, with a finger thick head. Aroma on this is almost ridiculously nice, with sweet notes of chocolate, caramel and toffee. This comes in a fairly full, creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet, with notes of caramel malts, coffee and raisins, and sadly a bit too much alcohol.

Das Bier bietet einen cremigen Antrunk, in dem hellmalzige Noten karamellige Züge besitzen, die hier vorhandene Grundsüße bleibt vorhanden. Mit der Zeit wird das Bier hefiger, was besser zu der Süße passt, die Karamelligen Malznoten verharren an zweiter Stelle. Der Doppelbock wirkt so sehr süffig und bietet dennoch ansprechende Aromen, was aber erst im Nachgeschmack deutlich wird, denn hier bleiben die Aromen nicht nur lange vorhanden, sie entledigen sich auch weitestgehend von der Süße, die, wie man jetzt merkt, geringere würzige Nuancen verdeckt hat. So ist hier erstmal eine milde Herbe erkennbar, außerdem geringe Getreidetöne. Daher alles in allem ein ordentlicher, in Teilen aber zu süßer Bock. 8/9/9/10/11/10

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Shachar. Slightly hazy golden. Grainy aroma with malt and honey hints. Sweetish grainy flavor with some malt and a slightly drier finish with a bit of apples. Medium-bodied.

Bottle.Hazy amber colour with medium white head.Aroma of caramel and malt,tosted and malty with taste of bread and caramel.Flavor of tobacco and herbs.

Bottle. Courtesy Hansen. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
