Three Japanese brewer friends, Sho from Mountainview, Daisuke from Strange Fellows, and Hiroshi from Parallel 49 teamed up to create this gari-ginger-inspired sour ale with pairing with Japanese seafood in mind.
Delicate ginjo (fragrant sake) aroma reminiscent of melon, pear, and apple from sake yeast. Refreshing and earthy ginger aroma with a touch of spiciness.
Refreshing light sourness with crisp grainy malt flavour and light sweetness followed by fruity ginjo aftertaste.
Easy-drinking and no-nonsense tasting for the complex experimental process and techniques that were put into this beer.

473 ml can. Pours a bright amber with little head. Aromas of fruit candies and a bit of ginger. Flavors of same with additional pine and a lot more sweetened ginger.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold yellow with a thin, fizzy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Spicy aroma of grainy pale malt, ginger and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, lemon and floral hops in a dry, tart, acidic, spicy ginger finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and average to lively carbonation. Refreshing, but kind of a one-trick pony.

Pale, slight haze, no head. Lots of ginger coming off the nose, though. Tart, mostly ginger. Medium body on the base beer, but not much nuance or character added. Just a vessel for big ginger.
