BXL beerfest 2017

(On tap @ Witchstock 2018, Toronto, Sept 29/18) Pours a quite hazy deep reddish colour with a pink white head. Notes of moderately tart crushed raspberries with a bit of preserve quality, red currants, some reasonably sour lemony lactic acid forming the core, accents of dry grass and straw, soft wood, a hint of cheesy funk but not a particularly powerful 'lambic' quality. Tart lactic finish with more lemon and red berries. Light to medium body with average carbonation. A nice little sour but lacking the complexity of bottled Tilquin offerings.

0,15l taster at BXLBeerfest. dark reddish murky color, very small white head. smells earthy, citric, bit musty, manure, very light raspberries, nice smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, grassy, lactic, raspberries, bit earthy, light spices. finishes rather dry and medium with notes of raspberies, grassy and lactic notes. quite nice one, raspberries are quite present but still somewhat subtle. quite good one 7, 4, 7, 3, 16

0,15l from tap at Arrogant Sour Fest. Bourdeaux / purpleish color, small of white head. Smells of raspberries, musty, earthy, citric, some wood, lovely smell. Medium body, Soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes citric, earthy, raspberries, peppery, rather musty, strong horse blanket. Finishes rather dry and medium sour and notes of raspberries, citric and musty notes. Very nice one, heavy on the musty notes. Great stuff

Aroma of funk, cheese, raspberries, horse blanket.
Tastes similar, with a bit more raspberries.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes dry, funky, a bit wooden, cheesy, with lingering earthy raspberries.

Tasty. Enjoyed the one from the fruit series #1 more, while this is pretty different, much more funk dominated. Still with a nice fruitiness, especially in the taste. Not an outstanding Framboise, but still beautiful.

Lovely aroma with loads of sweet-sour-earthy raspberries, moderate funk, some apples.
Tastes similar, dry, while a bit more acidic, with slight vinegar.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes dry, a bit wooden, a bit sour, with horse blanket, lots of lingering raspberries.

Very tasty! Loads of raspberries everywhere, which are beautifully showcased, very fresh an distinct. Still quite diverse, with some nice wooden notes and a crisp dryness. My favourite Tilquin so far.

Draft @ BXL Beer Fest 2018. Beautiful red colour, some foam. Soft carbonation. Tart, lemony, notes of raspberries, not overpowering. Rather sour.
