The pear version in this string of new Tilquin fruit lambics, thanks 77ships for sharing at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. No head whatsoever, hazy yellowish straw blonde robe. Aroma of hard green pear (e.g. Conference) but not really sweet ripe pear, chalk dust, fermenting shallots, redcurrant berries, old wood, stale sweat. Crisp, sour onset, with a light ‘green’ fruit note reminding me more of sour apple (Granny Smith) than pear; flat carb, slick wheatiness underneath drying lactic and fruity sourness, edgy but not harshly puckering, with funky Brett notes showing up in the background. Dry, funky, as such lovely lambic, vibrant and quite complex already, though exhibiting less pear aroma and flavour than I was expecting. Still curious what would happen if this one gets blended and bottled, though.

07-12-19 // 125ml from tap shared with at Moeder Lambic Fontainas at the Tilquin Fruit Extravaganza Event #2. Hazy yellow. Not much in the nose on fruits Very soft. A sourness. Pear yes but subtle. Wouldn’t tell its pear but with some fruit notes.

Draft @ BxlBeerFest 2019 - day 2.

Hazy dark blond with no head. Aroma and flavour have earthy funk and citric tartness. Just a little pear in the aftertaste. Chalky.

Draft @ BXL Beer Fest 2019. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Tart gueuze along with fruity notes, pear isn't really recognisable but adds a smoothiness. Very drinkable and enjoyable geuze. Really nice.
Tap. Pours golden. Aroma and flavor sour, fruity, bitter, pears, funk. Overall: very good.

BXL ‘19. Fairly hazy golden with no real head. Aroma of big cellar funk, damp, light barnyard, vinous notes, soft tart pear and oak. Flavour is moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled at BXL festival. Hazy golden with small head. Lots of thick cellar funk, mineral, wheat, so much nice crisp funk! The pear is quite light, it adds to the beer but is more in the background. Medium sour, light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Great!
