[At RBESG 2006] An unclear orange beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of straw and wheat. The flavor is sweet with light notes of both banana and wheat, leading to a dry wheaty end. Hmmm - not the best experiment in my opinion. I wonder how it can be listed as a Hefeweizen, when it is a blend.

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Swingtop bottle, no ABV mentioned. Allegedly the world’s first hefeweissbier-pilsener hybrid. Cloudy pale golden colour, moderate head. Nice aroma and flavour where the traditional weissbier elements (cloves and banana) dominate, but also some German pilsener hops around (Hallertau, Tettnang?). Okay.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy pilsener golden with a dense, creamy, white head. Aroma of yeast and banana. Medium body with sweet, fruity notes - some phenol. Dry, light bitter finish. Well, basically just a Hefe... Not sure I grasp the concept of a WeissbierPILS. 260806

6th DRG. Cloudy golden color, short white head. Aroma of some banana. Mix of wheat and pils. Starts as a watery wheat, finishes like a pils, more bitter.

Pale cloudy yellow, big fluffy head. Zesty citric aroma underlaid with white bread. Dry citric start, has a lemonade kind of feel to it, almost wanders off into the russn corner, but regains some wheat beer notes after that. Dry pilsnerlike finish, citrus aftertaste. Right now its a bit thinnish for me, but in the summer heat this could be a hit.
