Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Gluten Free. Black-brown colour, bubbly beige head and aroma of chocolate, malt, molasses, dried fruit. Taste is malty, roasty, milk chocolate, fruity, strawberry hint, with some coffee and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying chocolatey bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

3/3/2023. Cask at the 46th Loughborough Beer Festival. Pours clear very dark brown with a small bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, light coffee, toffee. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Nicely done.

Keg draught at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Dark brown, slightly translucent. A khaki head leaving a lot of lacing. Light milk chocolate aroma. Sweet chelate taste which morphs into an intense bitterness toward the finish. Chocolate bar and foraged berry aftertaste. A decent milk stout.

Cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester, 08/10/21. Black with a good sized lasting tan head, lacing ensues. Nose is light roast, charr, raisins, cocoa powder, dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, dried fruits, light spice, roasted bite, dark malts, light ashen tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent cask stout.
