An old-school IPA back from the dead, lest we forget that today's haze began bright. This West Coast ghost is uber crisp and proudly bitter, with notes of citrus and sweet fruit.

Four pack from the not local at all H-E-B in San Antonio. Struck out locally but find plenty on a work trip, figures.

Straight from the can for most of these.
Resin-y nose with some macerated orange, irritating herbal.
Strong dank is my first impression. Dry & piney, weedy, very pithy rind, slightly medicinal finish.
Frothy, bold carbonation, very dry & constant, boozy.

It comes off a bit too intense to enjoy the four pack but has most of everything else you need in a wcipa.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance is shown in the picture
Aroma: mixed citrusy to piney hoppy tones up front with a light orange rind bitterness rising up from underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to semi-bitter to bittersweet quality; finishes semi-sticky with a subtle citrusy to piney danky wet tone
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; good smoothness with a nice carb level and hop bitterness assertiveness seemed on par for the West coast level-ed IPA
Overall: oh hullo old friend of a West coast styled IPA! Why of course I would return to this.

Can from Mr Barleywine, thanks for sharing.
Mostly clear light gold color with a bubbly white head that persists. Holy nose and flavor, old school west coast hops and no haze how I've missed you!

16 oz. can, pours a clear bright golden with a medium white head. Aroma has plenty of candied citrus fruits, some pine, a hint of dankness, and some sweet caramel malt. Flavour is much brighter and more bitter, with lots of bitter piney hops, intense citrus, some candied stone fruits, and a sweet but crisp biscuity malt underbelly. Finishes very bright, with big, bitter pine in classic WC fashion. This is great—definitely a blast from the past, hopefully becoming present again.

Draft. Golden-amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit and light pine aroma. Summer and grapefruit flavor with pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Summer and grapefruit linger with pine.

Can. Clear golden amber with a 2cm white head that lasts well. Punchy yet somehow refined aroma of grapefruit, citrus blossoms, breadcrust, wafty pine. Moderately sweet with kumquat joining breadcrust before grapefruit and then pine. Dries out with more than firm but never harsh bitterness at the end. Excellent.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the Cascade Club. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Medium sweet flavour with lean pale malts, dry piney hops, orange rind, candied citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry and resinous on the finish, more candied orange, dry pale malts. Outstanding throwback gear.

Can from Cascade Club. It pours clear yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, clean, bright, lovely citrus vibes, grapefruit, lemon, candied peel, splash of lemonade, touch of tropical vibes and hint of bread. The taste is crisp, clean, firm dryness, pleasing level of bitterness which lingers throughout, touch of west coast greenness/dankness, piney, pithy, zesty, dry citrus peel, lemon, grapefruit and touch of peppery spice with a bitter - dry, finish. Medium body and moderate. Just what I needed. Lovely crisp West coast IPA.
