1970s bottle shared by MaxxDaddy via that German guy. Well it poured ugly and looked ugly, old, dirty yellow with no life to it. Looked like aged mahogany milk. Its old but its a berliner weisse, so it was drinkable despite the oxidation. Its light, easy to drink with just a faint pinch of lacto at the very end. Not much to say, its an old Berliner Weisse, which is not like an old Barley Wine but nothing like a fresh wheat beer. I know I have mentioned a lot of what it isn’t but that represents how little there is to say.

At a tasting, many thanks DSG, about 25 to 30 years, no head, murky light orange, aromas of cider, dried apple and vinegar, strong flavour of sour apples, with some metalic notes, light sourish aftertaste., very tart which feels exactly right for this beer. Would be excellent on a summer day, here in the middle east.

Bottle. About 20 years old. Sweet vinous and citric aroma. Almost like a good oud bruin. Cloudy yellow colour. Almost no head. slightly flat, not much carbonation left. The flavour is OK citric, quite lactic, but no more than a fresh one.

Had an old bottle from 1989 - 0,75l - made for friends of the brewery. The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, but there’s no foam. Starts very sourish, prickly. The finish is a bit moldy and metallically, but I think that’s because of it’s age. Really good one!

This was the worst beer I’d ever tried (at least up until then).[br] Appearance: Pale yellow-brown, no head, fizzy. Aroma: Not wheaty at all, fruity. As if it is not ready. Taste: Absolutely revolting. Acidic. Sour, though hint of fruit. Info: 330ml bottle, 19/11-2005, 55/300, 35/500
