Harlan is Edward’s slightly more assertive alter-ego, an America India Pale Ale that is copiously dry-hopped with Columbus, Simcoe, and a hint of Nelson Sauvin hops.

Can at home in the garden, 7th July 24. Pours a great looking opaque orange, with a neatly formed white frothy head. Aroma is grapefruit and pith. Taste is immediately grapefruit, citrus, rind, marmalade, oily hops, grassy, and bitter, so well made, totally class.

10oz pour at Tip Tap is a hazy sunset orange with some lacey white head. Nose isn't crazy expressive. Some C hop and some cattiness which must be the Simcoe. There is some grapiness or fruitiness but its muddled. Flavor is better, piney and catty, some malt and some wheat, citrus peel. Good body and grippy in the mouth. Bitter on the finish too. Slow starter but comes on strong.

Draught @ Dive 106 Bar, Manhattan (Jan 2024). Extremely hazy dark yellow with a foamy off-white head, pungent mango aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter unripe mango-citrus taste, smooth body, long mango-citrus finish. Very tasty and balanced flavor profile.

Pours murky apricot into a willi. White head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Mango, apricot and peach aromas. Soft with mango, guava, peach pit and fuzz, and apricot pith upfront turning to earthy grapefruit in the dry, lasting finish.

Canned, 473 ml, courtesy of Travlr. Shared with him and others at RBSG. Hazy yellow with white head. Fruity, bit tropical, grapefruit, grassy, resinous, nice bitter finish. My kind of IPA.

750mL growler filled 9/20/23, drunk 10/5/23. Heavily hazy, bronze-peach-golden. Frothy, medium-sized, off-white head, moderate-to-high retention. Light spiciness from Nelson though it quickly gets lost in the wood and pine of the other two. Just a touch white grape and mineral, but the C and S are done tastefully here. Light melon, honey-like malts and soft mineral on the clean finish. Soft, juicy, creamy with just the right amount of kick on the finish from the Columbus. Grapefruit throughout but it's never heavy. Nelson adds the complexity and strong mineral and white wine. Low woodiness from Simcoe and no resin at all. Just zippy white grapefruit on the finish to balance the ultra-soft, creamy malts. Excellent attenatuion. So flavorful and drinkable.

On tap at The Tip Tap Room in Boston. Hazy orange gold color. Frothy beige head. Tropical fruit aroma hints at citrus, peach and berries. Flavor follows nose with added notes of white grapes and pear. Some earthy malt in middle. Spicy hops on backend. Tasty, indeed!

On tap at Hill Farmstead. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. Slick body, tropical fruit, grass, nice bitterness, enjoyed this.
