Can. Café Morshuis Albergen. Barwoman Malou let me take it home for € 2,- (I didn’t want to spoil the flavor of the two year old Orval I had there). Grainy aroma. Grainy sweetish flavor. Hints of apple. Low on hopcharacter. Some nutty bitterness coming up in the aftertaste.

500ml red can kindly shared by Elisabeth and Stefan. Clear body that has got a yellow-gold colour. Two fingers white head with some retention. Rings of lacing. Sweet aroma of grain. Sweet pale malty taste, notes of alcohol. Dry ending. Non-offensive, anonymous stuff (Tromsø, 20.08.2012).

Can in hotel room, Reykjavik. An Icelandic beer just wouldn’t be complete without tasting an Icelandic malt liquor. Yum! Clear, golden yellow appearance with a fluffy, white head. Fairly tame, somewhat boozy, a bit sharp bitter, grainy aroma. Incredibly hard to drink, rich, boozy, thick, sugary malty, nasty, skunky flavor. This is some horrible shit

Can. A clear, almost golden beer with a finger-thick white head. Pale malts and fruits on the nose, with some alcohol and a grassy touch. Quite weak. Grainy and fruity flavor with some alcohol. Not much bitterness to brag about. Dry, full-bodied and a bit warming. There’s some piney and grassy bitterness in the finish. A clear beer, but dead boring. Can’t really see any use for beers like this. (090418)

Canned at Petelax Beer Festival. Pale golden, clear, brief head. Vague atoma of salt and alcohol. Sugary with flavour of iodine and chemicals. Restrained awfulness, but nothing good in sight. Alcohol is the most evident component.

500 ml can purchased at the Vín Búð - Austurstræti, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is a very bubbly clear pale yellow with a 4 inch fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet floral corn, a bit grassy metallic. Taste is watery, then corny maltiness - some floral sweetness in the finish.
