If you have ever seen the movie 'Gangs of New York' then you definitely know who 'Bill The Butcher' is. Well, it was he who inspired our continuation of the gangster imperial pastry hefeweizen series aka 'La Famiglia'. This time we added bananas, coffee beans, and biscuits to our base. We thanks our friends from craft coffee roaster and coffee shop Kavantura who roasted special brazilian coffee just for this occasion. We wanted more espresso and nutty flavors so they lightly roasted coffee beans and made us happy? The result is a very nicely balanced aroma of iced coffee and an interesting taste of tiramisu. Super rich and fun!

500ml can. Hazy, orange, dark golden colour with average, frothy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Artificial aroma of instant coffee powder and vanilla biscuits, some banana, a souri-ish, tangy prick of mustard seed, a yeasty spicy touch of clove. Taste is sweet-ish, biscuity, minimally fruity and spicy, hints of vanilla biscuits, instant coffee, some banana; slightly tangy finish with a touch of mustard seed and clove. Minimally creamy, watery texture, widely indifferent, in the finish minimally astringent palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite weird combination, unbalanced and artificial, only the clove reminds of a Hefeweizen - can't find any sense in this brew.

On tap @Pivnica Medonja, Varaždin. Hazy orange pour, one finger frothy white head, medium retention. Sweet on the nose, chocolate banana, vanilla, cake. Very nice. Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, creamy, chewy. Goes down very smoothly. Nicely balanced sweet taste. Aroma of chocolate banana, vanilla, coffee. Cake, tiramisu, cocoa. Light fruity tart. Sweet aftertaste. Medium lasting finish, sweet, lasting choco banana notes. Very tasty.

On tap at Goblet Zagreb. Murky orange coloured, medium sized white head, sweetish tiramisu and light coffee nose. Coffee, tiramisu, lactose, candy sugar and light banana taste with rather sweet finish. Interesting in a way.

On tap at Pulfer Beer Store, Zagreb. Hazy dark golden, small off-white head. Nice coffee, cocoa and banana aroma combo. Nice fruity touch. Malts also, good balance. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy body, very soft. Fruity tartness, banana sweetness. Slighlty overwhelming. Finishes quite sweet.

Can at Spicy Days with Kajser. Murky orange body, thick white head. Sweet tiramisu aroma, bit sharp. Lean sweetish cocoa-coffee taste, creamy, very pleasant, not too sweet, balanced. Excellent in its own way.
