This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt crisp yellow color with a thin white cap of a white head. Mild thin lacing.
The smell starts off with some bright sweet citrus, peppercorn, dry floral qualities, white pepper, light wood.
The flavor is sharply sweet with pronounced dry floral qualities hitting nicely. Spice kicks on in on the aftertaste. Quick semi-sweet dry finish. Appropriate bitterness hits my tongue.
Overall, another fantastic offering by Jolly Pumpkin.

I love bottle conditioned beers.
2022-06-16, still do! Drinking onsite at jolly pumpkin. Still delicious but adjusting rating due to 6 years of experience 😅. Brett citrus light sweet deliciousness.

375ml bottle. Yellow golden colour, frothy white foam head leaving some lacing and fruity, yeasty, funky aroma with some vanilla. Taste is grain, tart lemon rind, mellow sweet sugary, summer fruits, apricot, solventy, with woody oak, biscuit and funky yeast notes. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy finish. Quite OK.

Bottle share from friend. Very pale in color, taste is initially very golden/blonde, but yeast and other elements start to make this a heavier ale. Syrupy consistency, definite Belgian yeast character, but without the pit fruit elements in a lot of the strong ales.

Backlog. Shared bottle of batch 463 at Mi2 at Cardinal 06.05.13. Pale golden, almost clear. Aroma of gueze. Taste is sour at first, then more balanced, but still with some acid. There is more hops and sweetness in aftertaste, but still with sourness. Medium to dry mouthfeel. High drinkability.

Bottle at a tasting in Rome 4:20 pub on 27/08/2015, many thanks Dino for sharing this from your personal cellar. Pours a pale and cloudy golden color, yeasty-look, adhesive white head not so tall. Nose: funky, citric, a bit of floral/straw. Mouth: frizzy champagne-like feel, mild funky notes, some sensation of barley. Very interesting beer.
