Bottle, once bought at Erzbierschof Liebefeld, bottled 01-08-2013. Pours cloudy amber with a soft foam. Aroma is beautiful wooden barrel, apples, light yeast. Body is medium, lightly sour and a bit tart, lots of fruit, peach, soft carbonation. Palate lingers on stone fruit and yeast. Absolutely beautiful!

Pours usual orange, quite clear. Lacing and other great things going on with the foam. Aroma is nicely funky, frost bitten berries, soft sourness. Taste is also soft, some tannins there, smooth sour that has some bitter edges but still easily delivers what you are looking from sour beers. Well done.

Draft. A- Funky, wheat. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Plastic, mild funk. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Plastic and funk is what I get here. Not what I expected for a Belgian Strong Ale. Seems JP just wants to have their funk and not much else. Let down.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home on valentine’s. Hazy dull golden pour with dense white head. Aroma is sharp and spiced - like a oaked saison, which I guess makes sense. Smells a bit like a white wine mixed with saison. Carries into taste too, with a nice tartness throughout. Some subtle fruitiness, sweet banana, tart finish that lingers and some warm booze at the end. Really nice. Thanks to Kenneth for the rec.

Sample at the Ann Arbor brewpub. Slightly hazy straw color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Spice, tart fruit, yeast and malt aromas. Medium body with flavors of funky fruit, oak, coriander, yeast and malt. The finish is funky citrus and peppery yeast. Pretty good all around.
