Bottle at home, thanks to an IP trade with Kurt, 01/03/13. Slow gusher warning - frothy head peeping out of the bottle 5 minutes after I’d poured my first glass ! Pours a lightly hazed pale golden with a thin white head that clears to a film. Nose is funky, Belgian yeasts, Brett, spice, white wine, wood, lemon sherbet. Taste follows, lemon rind, yeasts, Brett, orange peel, spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, spot on for this style - not to prickly but enough to take the edge off the ABV, dry and crisp in the finish. Excellent stuff!

bottle - Pours very hazy straw colored with a one finger head that fades quickly and a very funky wild yeast smell. It has a tart, funky flavor and lingering brett in the finish. The body is a little thin. To me this beer is all about the wild yeast. It’s good, but a bit overrated in my opinion.

Bottle as shown. 1900th rating. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is yeast and fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a sour fruit and funk with a nice crisp finish. Easy to drink, really enjoyed this Belgian strong ale from Jolly pumpkin.

From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy yellow color with a small foamy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tart, chalky, lemon and Pez candies. The flavor was dry, tart, chalky, vinegar, sour lemon, and Sweettart candies. Long dry, tart chalk and lemon finish. Medium body. Solid.

Swift, NY tap ($8): Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is sour malt, vinegar, and some fruitiness. Taste is something like a golden/blonde ale with a good amount of sourness. The beer leaves a mild aftertaste. Sourness is moderate, not extreme; however, it is the proper amount. Nice body. Rather good.
