Bright golden orange. nice 2 finger head that fades. Nose has lots of peach pieces. mild juicy bitterness and big oak profile. Sort of a cheap moscato taste. grape skins, peach and rye but the taste is way under what the nose was. Still, nice an drinkable but a 750 is way too much.

Bottle at The Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy yellow/ golden colour with large, fluffy white head. Aroma of tart fruit, vanilla and some peppery spice. Flavours of sour rhubarb, apple and some candy sugar. Leaves with woody, earthy notes, biscuit and some floral hop.

Nose is a touch of horse blanket, straw, clementine, slightly reminds me of duuvel. Taste is sour, with lots of clementines and supporting citrus, white grape and pepper. A delicate almost perfumed finish, which becomes increasingly hopped as it warmed. A spectacularly drinkable sour beer which wears it’s abv lightly.

750 ml bottle shared with some coworkers. Poured a bright cloudy dark yellow color with a large, fluffy white head. Aroma was citrus notes, light sour funk character, yeast character. Flavor was nice citrus character, light spices. A bit dry like a champagne. Very refreshing for an 8% beer.

Flaske fra batch 463 på Cardinaltreff mai-13: aroma av brett og litt humle. En fin sommerdrikk men med en besk syrlighet på tross av lagringen på eikefat har gitt den litt sødme og a touch of vanilla. Artig etikett, men allikevel ingen stor skattekiste for meg. Nytt forsøk, fra flaske på Mandag i Annen (Cardinal), nov-13: en frisk, syrlig og lettdrikkelig ganeoverhaler. Opp fra 3.2 til 3.6.

Refrigerated 12 oz. bottle poured into tulip. Pours slightly hazy golden with medium fluffy white head head. Small bubble lacing, medium body, and medium carbonation. Aroma is tart and fruity. Taste is complex tart, oak, and some spice. Typical Jolly Pumpkin flavors, but I like this one quite a bit.

Bottle, 2nd Tuesday Tasting @ De Molen. Hazy light golden colour, white head. Nose is initially vanilla, followed by some light sourness and fruityness, fanta, lemon, followed by wood, and some dryness. Lots of things going on here. Very pleasant, this is right up my alley. Flavour is light sour, fruity, medium carbonation, bit of vanilla as well, sour, lemon, slightly alcoholic. Flavour is decent enough, but a bit of a let down compared to the aromas. All in all a great drink.

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting, April 2013. Poured a slightly hazy light amber with a broken white head. The aroma is dominated by the sourness. The flavour is a packed with apple sourness and yeast which hits the palate very quickly and sticks around in the aftertaste. It’s crisp and very refreshing and should appeal to everyone, even non sourheads.
