Bottled. Amber colour, rich, lively head. Light orange aroma. Sweet and medium bodied with roundd mouthfeel. The alcohol is noticable. Orangey finish with medium bitterness. There’s not really that much going on here, so considering the quality of Grauballe’s other products this is a bit of a disappointment, although it is certainly not bad.

Bottle. Nice creamy head with medium duration. Nice amber color. Taste is very alcoholic and very bitter as well. Maybe this was a bad brew. Had to pour the rest out in drain.

Tap - sampled at the Copenhagen beerfestival 2005
Cloudy red amber, low head. Grassy and tropical aroma. Fruity base, grassy bitterhop finish - pefect balance. Dangerously easy drinkable .

(On tap) Very dark amber colour with a very small head. Lovely aroma hops that also leave an intense bitterness all the way through. Distinct malty sweetness, but overpowered by the hops. Very warming alcohol - this indeed is a potent Barley Wine. 220505

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] A hazy orange beer with a small orange head. The aroma i sweet with strong notes of alcohol and oranges combined with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of oranges and a good hop presence from at nice hop combination. It also has hints of alcohol - but the alcohol is pretty well hidden. The end is dry. A really nice Barley Wine - with some American inspiration with all the hops.

Draught. Slightly hoppy aroma. Cloudy light brown colour. Small, creamy white head. Aromatic and slightly bitter hop flavour. The body is a little light for a barley wine. Aftertaste is nicely but mildly bitter.
