A quadrupel offering from the fine sellers at Belgian Happiness. I have a 33 cl bottle that I am tilting inside of a glass, a dark caramel liquid supported by a consistent head of creamy, buff colored foam. The scent is dark fruit, syrup and grain. The taste takes a leap forward, a big presence. Roasted malts, scorched toast, black raisins, figs, yeast and a touch of chocolate. Assertive and full in sensation. A classic styled quad, I am enjoying this drink.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orangish brown body with a huge and lasting beige head. Caramel malts in the aroma with dates and raisins. To balance the sweet notes, enter some grapefruit and some grapes. It even has some biscuit to it. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma as it also starts sweet with notes of raisins, caramel and chocolate. The hops are less fruity in the taste than in the aroma. They are rather floral. The beer has some bourbon character to it that shows up with a slight delay. Nice one.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of raisins, figs, Belgian yeast and doughy malts. Flavors follow same with some orange peel and metallic hints. Big, malty quad. Great.

Dark brown with a fair bit of yeasty residue. Malty, bready sweetness. Quite boozy and too much carbonation.

On tap at the 14th Brugs Bier Festival, Brugge, Belgium. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, caramel, dark fruit taste/aroma. Lacking in something but OK.
