Bottle:Ruby-amber coloured, clear, mid-sized and rather quickly collapsing off-White loose head, mild coffeeish traces in the malty-bitter nose, some subdued fruitiness underneath; mild sweet-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied; dryish sweet-bitter finish. Yawn...

500ml bottle. Darkest brown with small off-white head. Plain aroma like sweet "sour cherries" or "Schattenmorellen", maybe some "Schwarzbrot". Likely taste whose main character is simply "liquidity" or sugar water. What shall I say: +1 to my ratings.

50cl bottle pours clear deep amber with dark ruby red hues and tan head. The modest aroma offers up dark roasted malts, black strap molasses and some dark fruity esters. The taste begins with dark toasted bread, caramel malts and rolls into slightly burnt malts. Additional sips bring up some sweet dark fruity esters that come to the surface from time to time.

23/01 0.5 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured very dark brown to reddish body with medium sized brown head. Weaker caramel, caramelized sugar and coffee aroma. Good coffee malt profile in flavor, along with some dried fruits and even hint of dark chocolate. Very slightly grainy that was strange. Not particularly rich in body, but pleasantly rounded with decent dark malt finish. Nice enough.

0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado who shared it with heavy and me. Cola coloured, thick off white head that went away relatively fast. Slightly acidic, vinuous sweet (dark) malty, full dry nose. Odd grainy malty taste, not too sweet, with something I couldn’t quite pinpoint. Not a bad schwarzbier, surprised me a little.
