Black with thin head. There's an initial coffee hit after that the aroma is intensely woody. Flavour is very strong and boozy. Coffee vanilla and iodine. Too strong. The alcohol is too present.

Can. Color: Black, very thin beige head. Aroma: Boozy Whiskey, coffee, roasted malt, peat. Taste: Boozy, umami, Whskey, peat, iodine, earthy, subtle coffee notes. Barrels are overwhelming. Warming mouthfeel, a lot of booze. The coffee is considerably pushed to the background compared to previous versions of this beer I've had. And that nice soft coffee taste of previous versions was exactly the reason I bought this beer. Pity...

Can. Very dark brown with brown head. Sweet peat notes, coffee, dark chocolate, sour red currants and raspberries, quite earthy. Over medium sweet, lighter sour and bitter. Over medium bodied. The peated barrel here works really well, it's not rough or medicinal at all but tastes like Kilchoman whisky. It's a bit too sour maybe and could use a bit more body but it's very tasty.
