A richly nostalgic oatmeal stout, just like Nana used to drink. Dense but silky smooth with notes of coffee, chocolate and a light roast character.
We've fond memories of sitting in Nana's kitchen on a Sunday lunchtime watching the old girl sinking pints of stout while a forgotten roast burns to a crisp behind her.

Sample thanks to Grumbo! Pours a hazed dark brown, foamy beige head. Soft dry roast start with an emerging grainy chocolate undercurrent.. decent.

9/8/2025. Can shared at ITFC beer share. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Good pour. Nice creamy beige head. Aroma is ashy, chocolate, toffee, black treacle, charcoal. Moderate sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. A little thin, but otherwise quite likeable.

4.3%. Black with creamy head. Aroma and flavour are packed with roasted malts. Bitter and sweet. Butterscotch and then dark chocolate and coffee. Well made and punchy.

Can from KWM. Appearance - dark brown to black with a lovely tan to fawn head. Nose - a little coffee, marmite and Bovril. Taste - dark chocolate, beefy and marmitey again. Roast/coffee at the back. Palate - medium bodied, creamy yet roasty in texture. Dry, roasty finish. Overall - yes, good!
