Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 20B). Can 44 cl - Batch L938 1701 (BB: 0124). AROMA: medium-high hop aroma with a resiny and citrus character. medium-low malt background with a dark chocolate presence and slight roastiness. low background isovaleric. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. medium-low light brown head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium-high hop flavor similar to the aroma (pine, citrus), followed by medium to medium-low malt (coffee, slightly burnt). high bitterness from hops and roasted malt. almost dry finish with roasted character. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an american stout more focused on the hops.

Can. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is roasty, coffee, burnt malts. Taste is the same, pretty roasty, bitter finish. Mouthfeel could be more velvety. Not bad overall.

Black with lasting head. Aroma has lots of toasted malt. Exceptionally dry taste. Next to the roasted malt bitterness there's a floral hop bitterness too.
