This iteration on Zenne y Frontera is a single Oloroso barrel lambik. The barrel was sourced with the last bodega of Josefa Perez Rosado, near the Church of Santiago in Jerez De La Frontera. When the barrel was emptied, we immediately transported it over to Beersel and we filled it with a two-year old lambik, and we let it sit for another full year. As such, at the moment of bottling, the weighted average age of the lambik was over 37 months. Two thirds of the grains used in brewing the lambik, was sourced from our Cereal Collective with Pajottenland farmers.

Bottle shared. Light yellow to light orange color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are incredibly well balanced sourness with yellow fruitpeel and a little hay. Slight tart bitter finish. Quite lovely. 7-7,5-7,5-8-7,5

Pours hazed blonde, no real head. Scent is full, oloroso nuttyness. Intense ! Pretty amazing. Taste is sharp, tart, but balanced. Loads of nuttyness and wood. Dry. Lovely ! pretty straight forward, but in a good way !

Bottle, taster. Shared @MBCC 2023, Copenhagen (Denmark). 06/05/2023. Many thanks fonefan for this one, [#6.494 Global - #273 Belgium - #20 Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen] Plenty of sherry barrels. Apricot and funk. Taste: funk wild quetchering. Really sherry. Dry and moderate acidic mouthfeel. Next one please!

Bottle shared at MBCC ‘23. Poured a mostly clear light amber colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big funky yeast, light citrus notes. The flavour is moderate sour, with a crisp, woody, funky, dry oaky, leathery, sherry, tart acidic vinegar palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
