Keg @ Bierhaus, Galway [270815]
Copper red, clear, rich dense white head (nitro), some lacing
Aroma of soft caramel, soft sweet fruity malts, red fruits
Taste of caramel, red fruits, quite fruity, bit of toasted malt, soft cereal, light bitter hops, hint of raisin
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, creamy texture, smooth, soft sweet. Finish has a bit more bitter hops, Weetabix cereal.
Overall - More complexity than usual for Irish Reds - think this is probably the best I’ve tried so far.

Draft @ Doonbeg Golf Club. Deep red in color, hints of brown, soda like carbonation, creamy medium sized off white head that lasts throughout. Muted aroma of caramel and brown bread. Very little bitterness but also not heavy on the sweet malt, Taste is more caramel and toffee, some nutty taurine texture. Well balanced and enjoyable but not very exciting or memorable.

Draught as Macredin Carysfort in Brooklodge. Deep ruby amber with a firm creamy head, good lacing. Aroma is light creamy malt. Flavour is creamed malt, low carbonation, a little nut. A bit like a smooth English Ale. Finish is caramel malt. Alright.
