Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Tap at the brewpub. Bright clear gold beer, good white head. Palate is smooth and a little airy. Clean pale malt. Floralness. Starts sweet but turns a little bitter. Finishes crisp. A smooth and tasty pils.

Appearance: Clear yellow colour witha white head.
Aroma: Sweet, citrus, grass, hay.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Hops, grain, malt, spices.

Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle shared at the brewery tap - Forchheim, 25/01/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is pale malts, citric tinges, cereals, bread dough, light vanilla essence. Taste comprises light citrus, fresh and clean, faint orange notes, a little more vanilla, light caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp close. Solid pils, one of the better ones this weekend, good level of depth!

In Geruch leicht nach Honig. Im Antrunk hopfig-frisch-süß schlägt es nach ein paar Sekunden im Mund um auf "fast nur noch herb". Diese herbe Note hält sich im Abgang auch noch meinem Geschmack nach sehr lange penetrant
--> wer herb-süßliche Biere mag, für den ist das genau das Richtige - für mich leider nicht.....

Flasche (50 cl) vom Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. - Goldgelb. - Antrunk malzig, etwas süß aber nicht breit. Frisch rezent. Leichter fruchtig-herber Hopfen. Im Abgang neben mittlerer Bittere auch Malzsüße, das wirkt etwas unausgegoren. - Passables fränkisches Pils, aber etwas mehr Biß könnte nicht schaden.

Almost clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of malt, grass and hay. Also citrus and notes of floral hops.

Day Two of the Great Chris Meyer/Aaron Nielsen Franconian Beer Tasting in Schlitz. Prost! A touch hazy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Fairly sharp pils malty, grassy, a bit floral aroma. Fairly grainy pils malty, somewhat grassy/noble hoppy, crisp and delicious flavor.

Bottle. Crisp hoppy aroma. Yellow, fine carbonation, creamy head. Smooth malty entry, hard water saltyness, Fine aromatic hop profile. Fullbodied, chewy, fruity malt, feels a bit more like a nice hoppy Helles, but that is semantics - this beer is thoroughly enjoyable.

Bottle. It pours a clear, almost golden body under a minimal white head. Pale malts and some fruityness in the aroma, pretty straifht forward and rather boring. The flavor is much the same, lacking on both fruityness and hoppy bitterness I think. Medium body, dry. Some bitterness in the finish, and also some metallic notes. Nothing to see here, move on. 090821
