I like the aroma. Fresh apples, grape sugar and lemon. The flavor is less appealing. Sugary sweet with some artificial apple juice and a saccharine-like bitterness in the aftertaste. Where is the lambic??

The apple beer in this XTreme series, with no counterpart in the ’ordinary’ Mort Subite range. Thick, cream white, moussy, pretty stable head, yellowish golden blonde colour, cristal clear. Very strong artificial apple aroma, as in sweet industrial cider, heavily sweetened apple juice, some fusty graininess (probably corn) and a lot of lemonade-like ascorbic acidity. Very sweet taste, sugared water, very artificially apple, even a bit reminiscent of industrially produced apple pie, fading away into a thin, utterly neutral finish. This is even more awful than its kriek and framboise counterparts, it’s a good thing they decided to discontinue it.

Goldenes Getränk mit wenig Schaum. Geruch sehr stark nach künstlichen Äpfeln. Geschmack auch sehr künstlich süß, übertrieben fruchtig.

Bottled. A golden beer with a collapsing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of green apples and candy drops. The flavor is artificially sweet with notes of apples - like a sodapop. Not my thing.

Yellow with a small white head. Artificial apple candy aroma. Sweet flavour of cheap watery applejuice.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is apple, sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. Yellow colour, small head. Aroma is sweet sugary apples. Flavour is the same. Really artificially flavoured beer. Sweetness lasts for quite a while and leaves a rather sticky palate.

Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Yes, I do mean to give this 0.5/5.0 Pale gold, thin white head. Overly apple sweet, like a child’s sweets. It’s bad. Worst beer today. Like Drumstick sweets.

Bottled. Pale golden. Aroma of sugar and green apples. Saccharine attacks at first sip. Green apples fight with all kind of sweetener for attention. It may manage to hold back the syrup and sugar, but loses out completely to saccharine. Kiddie drink sweetened to hell.

Bottle. Green apple aroma, very distinct and sweet, somehow artificial. Golden colour, very small white head. Apple flavour, marcipan, a bit sweet. Seems to have a bitterness like an apple core. Swelling mouthfeel. Nasty aftertaste, like very cheap white wine.
