Westerwald-Brauerei H. Schneider (Hachenburger) Schwarze
Hachenburger schwarzbier – the black pilsner. An extraordinarily striking black beer with a slender, not too massive body. The precious, roasted dark malts provide a unique aroma and colour.

Das Schwarze ist ein klassiches deutsches Schwarzbier mit guten Röstmalz-Aromen. Diese könnten aber etwas feiner und vollmundiger sein.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Clear, amber coloured, big off-white head, very slowly collapsing; moderate dry roasty-malty nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, not too dry; but again increasing dryness towards the malty-bitter finish, followed by a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Decent stuff.....

Malzig-prickelnder, dennoch absolut milder und eher langweiliger Antrunk. Die nur oberflächlichen Aromen setzen sich im Mittelteil fort, zum Abgang hin wird es holzig, zuletzt etwas bitter. Test vom 13.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,5,5,4,9,4 - 4,95

(bottle) Clear and dark mahogany colour with a big foamy beige head. Sweet and minimal roasted malt aroma with caramel and a shy touch of herbal hops. Light bodied smooth mouthfeel with a sweetbitter toasted malty taste with caramel and a light bitter and herbal hoppy finish. Quite fine and balanced but rather slim brew.
