Brewed with real donuts baked right here in Portland, Holy Donut V.4 offers the classic taste of Valentine’s Day with smooth notes of chocolate fondue and refreshing strawberry. Its thick body and creamy mouthfeel make it the perfect liquid to end your special night. 9% ABV. We’re just going to say if you could can love, this is what it would taste like.

More stout-y than I expected. A very small hint of strawberry on top of bitter chocolate, but that’s it. Expected something sweeter.

Can pour from share with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an opaque black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width, light brown tight foam head with decent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong dark chocolate, roasted earthy malt/dough; faintest of berry. Taste is strong roasted earthy malts and milder strawberry (mostly sweet but with mild tart quality). Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not bad but doughnut is all but absent and strawberry is fairly muted. Given this should be the feature of the beer, a bit disappointing.

16 oz. can. Aroma is chocolate malt and barley. Perhaps a chocolate doughnut hint. In the flavor there is a chocolate doughnut like character. I will say the strawberry is real mild. The body is real lean. The other stout in the series ( Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut) was much better. Was left wanting more pop.
