Draught at Gemmel, Saarbrücken. Colour is clean pale golden, with a thick, long-lasting white head. Aroma is bread, lemon peel, light butter and (alas!) some sweaty socks. They’re in the background, but certainly noticeable. Taste is fresh, solid, with a metallic tinge to it. Good final bitterness that lasts enough. It’s a pity it has those funky socks.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Light lemon notes. Metallically hints. Okay.

Bottle at King’s Head, Guildford. 01/09/16. Standard lager/pils aroma, not particularly strong. Bright gold. Sporadic frogspawn head. Refreshingly crisp. Medium bitter. Light bodied, carbonation. Soft, dry finish. Enjoyable.

33cl bottle at home on 19th Nov 2015 and again on 6th Apr 2016, where I upgraded my score. Usual clear golden look Pilsners have, the white head full initially, but soon fading to a collar and thin wisp. Mild corn aroma with not much else in the nose. The taste is mostly hops and fairly bitter. The palate is dry and bitter: decent.

Pours a clear yellow golden color, topped with a decent white frothy head. Malty aroma, mild with grassy hops presence. Taste is similar. Light, almost watery, slightly sweet and grassy. Mild bitterness in the finish. One of those average pils beers that are easily drinkable.
