We love New Zealand Nelson Sauvin. It is by far our favorite hop. No other hop has such a wide range of aromas and flavors so it’s perfect for a single hop beer like this. We used some of our favorite lots of Nelson from Freestyle Farm’s harvest. We think this is the perfect showcase of what Nelson can and should smell and taste like.

Just enough of the gooseberry to balance out the hops. Nice and hazy too.

On draught at Gourmet Haus. Pours a hazy gold with full white head. Great citrus and berry flavor, with solid yeast support throughout.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated December 16, 2019. Aroma is all Nelson Sauvin hops. So much gooseberry, white wine grapes, mango, tropical citrus and melon notes. Light cracker malt notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours a hazy, dull, golden straw color with a medium large, thick, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol spice. Lots of hop flavor - gooseberry, white wine grapes, melon and citrus. A bit of a resin note. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a great IPA, but I love Nelson Suavin. Great hop expression, especially in the aroma.
